Summary: The Workforce Optimization Consultant will play a pivotal role in optimizing healthcare operations by leveraging expertise in data analysis, process improvement, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and patient care. This individual will focus on identifying inefficiencies, developing data-driven solutions, and implementing improvements related to workforce productivity and labor utilization.
Responsibilities: Collaboration with Leadership: Provide ongoing workforce management-related expertise and support to executive leadership and management at each entity. Partner with System leaders to identify opportunities in financial operations and workforce management, including development of workforce standards, appropriate benchmarks, and business impact of system-wide operational initiatives. Collaborate with leaders across the System to ensure productivity and premium pay targets are communicated and built into processes. Identify productivity opportunities and recommend solutions to stakeholders to include staffing, scheduling, and skill mix. Communications: Develop communications and agenda for workforce management agendas to be presented to decision makers and present information clearly and professionally to key stakeholders. Deliver data, reports, analyses, and other communications in a format that is easily understood by teammates at all levels of the organization. Provide regular status updates on productivity performance across the health system to varying levels of leadership. Data and Benchmarking: Manage performance of productivity and premium pay utilization for all entities to assist leadership in monitoring operational and financial performance, evaluating opportunities for improvement. Develop internal benchmarking process and practices/opportunities for cross-departmental or cross-entity projects to streamline workforce management efforts. Project Management: Participate in performance/process improvement initiatives, focusing on optimizing processes and reducing waste. Oversee workforce-related enterprise projects and perform regular reporting and ad hoc requests for leaders as requested. Lead or participate in projects to implement solutions to redesign care delivery, reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency. Cross Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments such as Human Resources, Nursing, and Finance to analyze productivity and premium pay management opportunities. Work closely with Human Resources to provide input on most critical roles to recruit based on workforce needs across system. Educate stakeholders on workforce productivity standards, tools, and processes and reinforce this as needed. Act as primary liaison with Productivity management with Stratajazz.

Bachelor?s degree in an appropriate discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ? None required. Professional Experience Requirements: ? Requires five (5) years in healthcare or similar data-driven environment role Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize productivity. ? Understanding of healthcare workflows, regulations, and challenges specific to the organization's sector (e.g., hospitals, clinics, public health). ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. ? Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence others, and effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. ? Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across clinical, IT, and administrative departments. ? Proficiency in using databases, SQL, data visualization and analysis tools to extract insights from various data sources. ? Ability to plan, execute, and track projects effectively, ensuring success within budget and time constraints. ? Understanding of various technologies and the ability to integrate them seamlessly. ? Experience with benchmarking, productivity management, and decision support systems. ? Ability to communicate complex data and ideas and solutions in a clear, concise manner.
