Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join the growing team at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey. Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities are available. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of our expanding network. This position will support the Neurosurgeon in both the outpatient and inpatient setting, with a strong focus on surgical cases. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and strong communication with a commitment to outstanding patient care. This role requires an on-call commitment, including weekends and holidays as needed, with alternating First On-Call to the Physician.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive medical services under physician supervision, including performing patient histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, managing conditions, and prescribing medication.
Serve as a key member of the healthcare team by participating in interdisciplinary rounds, facilitating clear communication, and ensuring coordinated, patient-centered care.
Apply evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes, serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other staff and students, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure all clinical activities are documented accurately and adhere to all Hackensack Meridian Health policies, professional standards, and standards of behavior.

REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
Physician Assistant License.
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
