The role you'll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Functions with a significant level of responsibility, autonomy, and expertise under administrative supervision of pharmacy management personnel. Work to meet highly specialized pharmacy business needs in programs such as Diversion Prevention, Automated Dispensing Machine Support, Informatics, Medication History, Investigational Drugs, or Cleanroom Specialist. Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders, supports pharmacists, and provides distributive pharmacy services to ensure safe and accurate medication services, supporting all those involved in direct patient care.

- Manages daily operations and leads projects within the specialty area. Develops and refines workflows, protocols, and training materials to support excellence in specialized practice.
- Resolves complex issues and provides technical support related to the specialty area. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system functionality and process integrity. Develops and enforces protocols and work process to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality in defined specialty area. Provides real-time feedback and guidance to team members.
- Coordinates continuity and standardization of specialty program and monitors performance across teams, shifts, and pharmacy practice areas. Acts as a specialty liaison across the technician team, clinical team, and pharmacy leadership. Communicates operational needs, escalates issues, and supports departmental goals.
- Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, institutional policies, and best practices within the specialty area. Participates in audits, documentation, and continuous quality improvement. Monitors and evaluates specialty area system performance and integrity to detect and mitigate service failures impacting medication safety.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Required qualifications:
- High School Grad or Equiv or equivalent
- 3 Work Experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC) Applicable State.
- Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association, if applicable per state legislation.
- Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare.
