The role you'll contribute:

• Assumes a supportive role and has responsibility for communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promotes the optimal health, wellbeing, and safety of the patient in accordance with patient care standards.
• May perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized health care provider in accordance with the AdventHealth Medical Group Scope of Practice.
• May assist with front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments.
• Responsible for accurate chart documentation and medical record maintenance.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Contributes to the development and implementation of patient plan of care
• In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; determine presence/absence of barriers to active participation in the individualized care plan and ability to self-manage their health conditions.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including but not limited to vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, pre-visit planning and post-visit follow up, and medication refills.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from approved organization
• Basic Life Support (from the American Heart Association)
