DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: The Non-Invasive Diagnostic Department provides services to patients that include Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine Testing, and Cardiac Stress Testing.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The RN-Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Diagnostics - Bend will provide patient focused care as a registered nurse who acts as part of the care delivery team in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab and in other related settings as needed. As a nurse, this position will oversee the work of other caregivers, providing specific care to assigned patient(s) throughout the shift, as required under the scope of the RN licensure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Maintains and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques and applies this knowledge in accordance with SCHS policies and work instructions and within laws and regulations governing nursing practice in the State of Oregon.
Assesses the patients condition and needs using critical thinking and clinical judgment: sets outcomes; implements appropriate nursing actions and collaborates with other disciplines to meet the patients/familys physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs; and evaluates patients progress.

Provides clinical and emotional support to patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
Provides and monitors equipment and supplies based on patient and procedural needs.
Physiologically monitors the patient during procedures.
Responsible to manage the patients experience by clarifying, integrating, and coordinating the roles of the interdisciplinary team.
Assures that equipment is functioning properly and that appropriate supply inventory is maintained.
Perform noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring during Non-Invasive Diagnostic Procedures performed to assess the Cardiovascular System.
Demonstrates awareness of and supports St. Charles departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities.
Participates in activities that promote professional growth and development of self and others.
Identifies work-related problems with possible solutions and implements solution(s) within scope of practice, as appropriate.

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
Preferred: BSN
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Required: Current Oregon RN license.
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS certification within 90 days of placement in position.
Preferred: PALS
EXPERIENCE
Required: Advanced skills with EKG interpretation and recognition of complex rhythms.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of highly technical computerized medical equipment.
Preferred: Non-Invasive Cardiology Diagnostics experience within the past 2 years.
2 years critical care, cardiovascular, ED or Flight nursing experience
Cardiovascular experience.
Electrophysiology experience.
EHR experience.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
