About Team:
The Hematology Department performs a variety of hematological testing on whole blood and urine with our various instrument platforms and detailed morphological slide reviews which help clinicians with the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of diseases. You will learn about the various instrument platforms and assays and their applications towards clinical and commercial settings which has facilitated the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments to manage a wide array of diseases.
You will be trained across the various platforms in Hematology Department from automated instrumentation to manual slide review and urine sediment identification.
Good understanding of clinical testing from sample collection to testing and the use of different tests.
Trained in the operation and maintenance of multiple analyzers.
Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
The intern will be trained in pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical aspects of the department workflow and the applications of various assays.
Internship Assignment Summary:
Student will gain clinical experience working in the laboratory of a drug development company.
Attend laboratory modules linked to quality control management, pipetting skills and the various informatics labware.
Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your soft skills and professional presence.
Good Laboratory Practice.

Education/Qualifications/Skills
Open to current undergraduate with Bachelor of Science degree (Biological Sciences/Biomedical).
Good organization and multitasking ability.
Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance team environment.
