Job Summary
The Manager of Advanced Analytics II leads a team providing quality analytics and reporting services. This role plans and manages efforts to produce insights from data. These insights help improve service use and organizational quality. The position works closely with stakeholders to build and enhance relationships. The manager develops and manages standards, policies, and processes for consistent, quality reporting. This ensures compliance with the analytics department's standards to meet clinical and business needs. This role leads the development and maintenance of Star Rating forecasts and Star measure member level predictive models.
Essential Functions of the Role
Serves as a credible advisor to EDA managers, client stakeholders, and domain executives. Helps advance, implement, and achieve analytic department goals and desired outcomes. Provides practical and relevant ideas and insights.
Runs, and coaches a team of analytics staff.
Accountable for ensuring staff appropriately defines, documents, develops, and delivers their work in a timely manner.
Proactively identifies issues and defines initiative for remediation.
Creates domain portfolios with analytic leadership and service line owner, meeting standards and expectations provided by analytic leadership.
Accountable for organization, prioritization, and management of healthcare domain deliverables utilizing agile methodologies to manage and maintain tracking of projects.
Responsible for developing and executing large or enterprise-wide project plans. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Drive processes and testing toward automation and self-service utilization of analytic products.
Partners with business, technology, and healthcare teams to define and communicate analytic requirements. Ensures these are part of operational planning. Measures outcomes to meet expectations.
Assist domain run in goal planning and financial planning.
Establishes relationships with vendors to drive activity and deliver updates. Resolves issues and manages product lifecycles and upgrades. Consistently identifies, defines, and implements opportunities for improvement.
Provide progress reports to management and manage domain roadmap.
Accountable for managing work and projects for self and others. Demonstrates management abilities to maintain momentum and move work forward. Manages reporting on all projects.
Produces top-quality work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and expectations. Redefines deadlines when necessary and communicates changes to manage expectations.
Applies and improves expertise in project management, data governance, data analytics, or analytic development in healthcare.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.
