The Application Systems Analyst I is a full-time position with Atlantic Health's Information Technology department. The position has responsibility for primary and/or secondary application support as assigned. The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Supports projects and handles daily and ad-hoc requests related to information systems.
- Assists end users by identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Reviews workflows and system components to understand and address application-related challenges.
- Evaluates new system features and suggests practical ways to implement changes.
- Collaborates with IT, clinical, business, and operations teams to help design efficient workflows.
- Participates in system enhancement testing and ensures solutions meet user needs through thorough validation.
- Contributes to innovative solutions aimed at improving services or reducing costs under time constraints.
- Tackles unique tasks or projects using sound judgment and initiative, with guidance from senior analysts.
- Proactively seeks help from experts when needed and escalates issues appropriately.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent of education and work history
Preferred:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
- 2+ months of Epic Support in an IT environment
