About the Opportunity

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist with Vail Health, you?ll perform a wide range of CLIA moderate and high complexity testing across multiple disciplines-including hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, coagulation, serology, and molecular diagnostics. You?ll be a trusted partner to our physicians by delivering rapid, accurate, and reliable results that help guide critical patient decisions.

What You?ll Do
Perform and troubleshoot complex testing (automated and manual) across multiple specialties.
Ensure quality results by managing calibrations, validations, and quality control procedures.
Maintain and repair laboratory instrumentation with precision.
Interpret and correlate test results with patient diagnoses; report findings accurately to physicians and regulatory agencies.
Collect, process, and evaluate specimens to ensure testing integrity.
Participate in QA/QI projects and assist in staff training and education.
Stay current in laboratory practices through continuing education and competency development.

What You?ll Need
Experience: 3 years in a CLIA high complexity lab (required)
Certification: One of the following is required:
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), ASCP
Medical Technologist (MT), AMT
Medical Technologist (MT), ASCP
