The role you'll contribute:
The Nursing Program Development Manager (NPDM), under the direction of the Director of Clinical Excellence, leads in the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative programs to support the provision of nursing care in an acute care setting. The NPDM collaborates as needed with all levels of clinical staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders, including community educational program leaders, and nursing regulatory boards to support the evolving educational pathway to fill the workforce gaps in the acute care settings. The NPDM serves as advocate for the clinical professional, the organization, and the professional role of nursing across the community. The NPDM research policy to ensure compliance within the appropriate governing board, initiates problem solving and facilitates organizational policy creation as needed. The NPDM supports training and mentoring of various clinical roles and leaders to support successful change management and implementation of innovative care team models. The Nursing Program Development Manager promotes Healthy Work Environment standards that support autonomy of practice, teamwork, collaboration, and positive work relationships within the team and across various interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence. The NPDM develops both unit-based and system-level activities that support the elements of extending excellence, including research to support evidence-based practice, publication, and presentations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Supports the education team, Magnet designation through education, evaluation, and documentation of the innovative programs to support the provision of nursing care.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leads strategies based on industry and organizational data to implement initiatives improving nursing care delivery.
- Provides leadership in developing programs to support career pathways for team members within the nursing workforce pipeline.
- Collaborates with academic and community organizations to create experiential learning opportunities for students and prospective allied health and nursing employees.
- Conducts periodic assessments and evaluations of innovative nursing programs, implementing changes as necessary.
- Works with leaders and stakeholders to identify, implement, and evaluate processes that drive exceptional clinical outcomes through nursing workforce innovation.
- Participates in organizational leadership programs to oversee clinical quality training and develop measures to improve patient care quality.
- Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to workforce innovation students and team members.
- Implements processes that support local academic institutions' needs, leveraging students through Transition to Practice into acute care settings.

Associate's of Nursing Required

Registered Nurse (RN) Required
