Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading complex, high-profile projects. They manage the project lifecycle from initiation through completion working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Leads and manages complex projects from initiation to completion. responsible for all aspects of multiple medium to large projects with moderate to high complexity. This individual is responsible for taking projects from original concept through completion, acting as a single point of accountability for the projects, and utilizing PMI Standards to ensure projects meet their stated objectives.
Collaborates and builds strong relationships with stakeholders, by proactively setting project expectations, communicating and taking ownership of risks/issues.
Identifies cross-project dependencies and proactively identifies project risks, issues, and dependencies and develops mitigation strategies.
Creates or leads the creation of detailed project documentation for the management of scope, schedule, resources, risks, communications, and stakeholders. Directs and coordinates activities of project resources and estimates, as well as directing third party contractors (when necessary) to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Organizes project activities into manageable work efforts for team members, and determines an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in the project plan. Coaches and motivates team members to clarify task assignments, milestones, and deliverables.
Mentors and manages project team members, providing direction and resolving conflicts as they arise. Provides support to associate project managers and project managers.
Supports the project team in test planning and quality assurance processes, user training coordination, change management documentation, as well as support post-launch stabilization efforts.
Understands how project decisions impact the portfolio of projects, as well as key business metrics and the enterprise strategy.
Models the way with positivity and adaptability to change by anticipating and adjusting competing priorities in a changing environment.

Technical Expertise
Experience in project management methodology and project management software tools is required.
Experience managing complex, large and/or multiple projects is required.
Strong problem-solving abilities and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines is required.
Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail is required.
Experience working with all levels within an organization.
Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to concisely present complex information to internal and external audiences is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word] is required.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
Certification: PMP certification is required.
Years of relevant experience: 7 to 10 years is required. Workday implementation experience is strongly preferred.
Years of supervisory experience: 2-3 years of experience supervising preferred.
