Overview
Pediatrix has an exciting opportunity for a BC/BE pediatrician to join our Pediatric Hospitalist program at Carilion New River Valley Hospital in picturesque Christiansburg, VA.
Responsibilities
146-bed community hospital with approximately 1,100 deliveries annually
3-physician practice includes covering the peds unit, ER consults, newborn nursery and high risk deliveries within âœThe Birthplaceâ which has award-winning patient satisfaction scores
Most pediatric sub specialists are available at our main hospital, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital
Coverage is 24-hours with call from home
Carilion is affiliated with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, both of which offer teaching opportunities and academic appointments.
Christiansburg is in the heart of the scenic New River Valley in Southwest Virginia and boasts multiple outdoor amenities such as the Appalachian Trail and the New River Valley Trail. Driving distance to Washington DC as well as the State Capitol, Richmond. Nearby Blacksburg is the home of Virginia Tech and has been voted both âœThe best place in the U.S. to raise kidsâ and âœThe best college town in the South.â
