Labcorp Women's Health and Genetics, part of the LabCorp Specialty Testing Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join a team of genetic counselors to support busy maternal fetal medicine practice in Los Angeles, CA. This individual will be responsible for providing in-person and virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services and may also support our Results Reporting Programs.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. The Genetic Counselor will be required to work onsite in the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area approximately 3-4 days/week and work from home 1-2 days/week. Candidates must be located in the Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base both onsite, and via video conference
- Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects
- Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues

Requirements:
- MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling
- ABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status required
- Candidates with current ABGC certification highly preferred
- Must be able to obtain CA Genetic Counselor license prior to start date
- 2 years experience as a clinical genetic counselor preferred (post completion of Masters program)
- Previous prenatal genetic counseling experience highly preferred
- Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
**Salary Range: $94,000 - $125,000 / year
All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
