HEALTH CENTER ADMINISTRATOR - DUKE PRIMARY CARE-MIDTOWN
General Description of Role
Provide overall administrative direction and oversight for policies, procedures and programs including all nursing functions for DPC Midtown.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative direction and coordination for policies, procedures, and programs of DPC Midtown.
- Establish schedules, task assignments, and allocate resources to meet departmental commitments.
- Determine fiscal requirements, prepare budgets, and monitor expenditures.
- Maintain liaison with administration, physicians, and outside organizations to coordinate business and resolve issues.
- Prepare operational and financial reports, analyze trends, and make recommendations.
- Develop and implement operating policies and procedures; ensure compliance and keep employees informed of changes.
- Represent the clinic in meetings and activities; ensure achievement of balanced scorecard targets.
- Direct personnel functions including hiring, orientation and performance appraisals for all DPC Midtown staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize staff resources and promote education for patients and the community.
- Identify clinical operational needs, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Cultivate exemplary customer service and promote effective communication skills.
- Develop and implement processes for ongoing quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education: | Bachelor's degree in nursing is required. Master's degree in nursing, business, or healthcare related field strongly preferred. |
Experience: | Work requires 5 years related administrative or clinic management experience to acquire competence in applying general operational practices, personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of clinic administrative functions, |
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: | Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BCLS certification required. |
