QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s of science in nursing from accredited nurse practitioner program
• Experience with EHR/EMR
• Prescriptive authority
• Valid license in current state of employment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to client centered care

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform comprehensive health assessments including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions affecting women's health (e.g., UTIs, STIs, menstrual disorders, menopause, contraception).
• Provide prenatal and postpartum care in collaboration with midwives.
• Conduct well-woman exams, including Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Educate clients on reproductive health, family planning, sexual health, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate and optimize client care.
• Document all client encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Midwifery and Women's Health Care is a midwife owned practice that offers compasssionate, client led pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. We attend births at our state licensed and CABC accredited facility, Anchorage Birth Center and the local hospital. Our providers offer full scope women's health care services including annual exams, contraception, family planning, lactation and counseling services.
