East Coast Audiology & Physical Therapy is unique practice as we have united both Audiology and Physical Therapy to offer a full range of services, allowing patients with hearing, vestibular, and balance issues to receive comprehensive care under one roof.
4th-year audiology externs immerse themselves in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered learning environment that spans comprehensive audiology and vestibular services, blending expertise in diagnostic testing, hearing solutions, and balance rehabilitation.
Clinical Experience Includes:

Conducting diagnostic hearing evaluations, central auditory processing assessments, tinnitus evaluations, and VNG (videonystagmography) testing for vertigo and balance disorders.

Performing advanced testing including Posturography, EcoG, VEMP, and ABR.

Selecting and fitting hearing aids (Oticon, Phonak, Starkey, and 3rd-party programs such as UHC/EPIC and TruHearing).

Applying tinnitus masking strategies and counseling patients in device use and maintenance.

Collaborating with physical therapists for continuity of care, including treatment for vertigo and BPPV (e.g., Epley maneuvers).

Learning from a diverse staff of audiologists and physical therapists who collectively support integrated care for patients navigating hearing, dizziness, and balance challenges.
