Bluegrass Hearing Clinic offers thorough and comprehensive diagnostic hearing procedures and the most effective hearing solutions to meet the needs of our patients and their diverse lifestyles. Our hearing treatment plans include state-of-the-art hearing aid technology, cochlear implants, osseointegrated hearing devices, tinnitus management devices and maskers, assistive listening devices, hearing protection, swimmolds, custom wireless earbud solutions as well as many other devices and accessories to prevent hearing loss, protect the ears and promote better hearing. Our entire team is dedicated to providing the best services and products in a personal, friendly, and comfortable environment. After all, better hearing is better living.
We are seeking a full time Audiology Extern (3rd or 4th year). This is a paid stipend externship. If you are driven, self-motivated, and passionate about better hearing and providing patients with a better quality of life, if you have an entrepreneurial spirit and seek to become part of an organization that will recognize that spirit, then this is the opportunity for you!

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; excellent communication and counseling skills
Professional and empathetic manner with patients
Developing high level of clinical skill in all areas of hearing diagnosis and treatment plans
Excellent decision-making skills; able to analyze and deal with complex situations
Accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
Previous experience in a private practice setting
Initial review of applications and scheduling of interviews will begin immediately. We will continue to accept applicants until the end of September 2025 and hope to have interviews completed and offers made by the middle of October 2025. Applicants will be notified if selected for an interview and will be scheduled accordingly.
Yes, each student will attend training seminars and the KAA meetings. All costs are covered by the clinic.

Must be enrolled in an accredited Audiology program as a 2nd of 3rd year student, depending on length of program. Must have met requirements by the university to begin the Doctor of Audiology Externship year.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Must be willing to travel between locations within a reasonable distance of your home office. Commute is typically no more than one hour to a satellite office. Mileage reimbursement is offered.
The period of employment is estimated to be May 2026-May 2027 (graduation dates will determine this).
