Directly interacts with the patient to provide for their nutritional and meal needs. Provides customer service in a way that exhibits the PRIDE values of the organization. Performs services to ensure optimal nutritional care and education of patients in accordance with established standards of care, compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Standards, state standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
2. Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.
3. Monitors patient meal tickets - this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
4. Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 0-3 years of prior experience.
Preferred:
1. Prior experience in a call center or healthcare setting preferred.
