We are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primarily participates in management of biomaterials, including receipt, accessioning and shipping
- Supports primary sample processing through nucleic acid extraction
- Assists with routine lab and equipment maintenance
- Assists with reagent qualification
- Assists in SOP drafting and revision, where applicable
Requirements:
- Work schedule Tuesday - Saturday (8:30 - 5:00pm)
- Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science. (Bachelor preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues,
- leadership and other departments
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook), Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Excel preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing
- exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred
Pay Range: $22/hr - $26/hr
All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
