THIS POSITION IS ON THE HAND SERVICE
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The APP will play a key role in managing an independent outpatient clinic while working in close collaboration with our Hand surgeons. Core responsibilities include patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. The role may also involve occasional procedures such as hand injections, casting, and splinting.
This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, with daytime hours. The schedule is weekday, outpatient care?no nights, weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities. The position is best suited for a provider with a strong interest in Hand Orthopaedics rather than general Orthopaedics.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Prior Orthopaedics or hand experience is preferred but not required. A solid interest in hand and upper extremity care is essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
- National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Relevant experience preferred.
