Internship Details
Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
Dates of Internship: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:
The intern will join Labcorp?s Core Lab (Safety Testing) team in Indianapolis-a high-impact department composed of experienced laboratory operational leaders, scientists, and medical laboratory professionals. This team plays a critical role in supporting clinical trials by performing medical laboratory testing on patient samples. Their work directly informs healthcare decisions and contributes to the development of life-changing therapies. Interns will be immersed in a collaborative, science-driven environment where quality and patient impact are at the heart of everything we do.
Internship Assignment Summary
Review Core Lab?s test menu to evaluate test offerings based on volume trends, client demand, and future projections
Develop retirement strategies for low-volume or legacy platform tests, including timeline recommendations based on clinical trial needs
Analyze and optimize test code offerings to improve efficiency and ensure alignment with current client and operational requirement
Participate in cross-functional meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to clinical trial operations, laboratory systems, and regulatory standards
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Currently pursuing a bachelor?s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
Coursework in data analysis and analytics recommended.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy
Familiarity with laboratory workflows, clinical research, or sample tracking systems is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Embraces diverse perspectives through partnerships and teamwork
