Role Purpose
Provides cleaning, processing, and general maintenance of equipment. Maintains proper inventory of parts and supplies for their designated department(s). This position may provide support in orienting new and existing employees of cleaning and general maintenance of equipment. Additionally, this position may assist in coordinating special/ specific projects and programs as per department management.
Responsibilities
Complete assigned tasks within department expectations including but not limited to: Tracks, organizes, and maintains equipment inventory readiness for the department. Ensure Equipment is assembled correctly, functioning properly, and stored in proper location. Restock and certifies emergency/specialty supply kits in alignment with departmental needs.
Partner with clinical engineering to disassemble, decontaminate, and process instrumentation and/or equipment according to manufacturer and industry standards.
Complete departmental rounds and collaborate with facility engineering departments to request and track updates on environmental repairs.
Troubleshoot issues that arise regarding equipment and supplies.
Picks up/delivers equipment and supplies in patient care areas.
