The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa

AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.

The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.

The role you'll contribute:

Professional nurse who provides leadership in the development of staff education at the unit level in compliance with regulatory agencies in conjunction with the hospital mission, management and physician expectation. The educator combines clinical expertise and passion for teaching in both the classroom and practice setting, preparing and mentoring current and future generations of nurses. The Nurse educator plays a pivotal role in strengthening the nursing workforce, serving as a role model and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes.

Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs.

Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.

Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities.

Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization.

Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs.

Tracks educational offerings and shares information with unit leadership as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Master's of Nursing Required

Registered Nurse (RN) Required

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required

Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Preferred

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Preferred

Nursing Professional Develop Cert (NPD-BC) Preferred
