Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in our Dawson Hall clinic located in Chapel Hill, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to Joint Commission, Environment of Care and Infection Prevention guidelines reviewed in monthly EOC, TJC and IPL rounds
Room patients per Dawson Hall Dermatology Guidelines
Clean and Sanitize rooms after a patient visit
Clean and package surgical instruments for sterilization
Set up sterile trays for procedures
Set up clean trays for biopsies
Check Vital signs report any abnormal findings to RN per policy
Assist patient's with mobility prevent falls
Report any safety concerns to the RN
Restock rooms at the end of the day
Perform other related duties incidental to work described here in
Job Eligibility Requirements:
Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
High school or GED graduation required.
Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
BLS required
Job Hours:
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
