This community's appeal continues to grow as exciting new developments are underway near the AdventHealth Minneola campus.

AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. We are proud to be delivering clinical solutions for the mind, body and spirit in the Minneola community.

The role you'll contribute: Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs
• Maintains operational expertise and competency and actively provides coverage of at least two of the following:
• Central/distributive pharmacy operations
• Sterile compounding
• Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

• High School degree or equivalent
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience (Retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience)
• Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
• Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Preferred qualifications:

• Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
