We are currently seeking a Specimen Processor to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm

Job Responsibilities:
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
Accurately identify and label specimens
Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
Meet department activity and production goals
Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Resolve and document any problem specimens
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups (as needed)
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
No relative experience required; At least one year lab specimen processing experience preferred
Previous experience as a phlebotomist highly desired
Must be able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Strong data entry, attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills: both written and verbal
Ability to work in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
