We are currently seeking a Specimen Processor to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
- Accurately identify and label specimens
- Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
- Meet department activity and production goals
- Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
- Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Resolve and document any problem specimens
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups (as needed)
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No relative experience required; At least one year lab specimen processing experience preferred
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist highly desired
- Must be able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Strong data entry, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills: both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
