Job Summary:
Research Data Analyst - VICTR - REMOTE AVAILABLE
This is a full-time/exempt term position lasting six months to one year.
JOB SUMMARY
In your pivotal role as a Research Data Analyst, you will work with project leaders and project managers, and partner with the data quality teams to provide data quality and analytics expertise for healthcare data. You will work hands-on with partners at other Healthcare Provider Organizations as well as new data product teams to assess data quality and provide guidance and support for data quality improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with ad hoc reporting of data quality
- Supports data quality benchmark reporting for baseline and new data types
- Collaborates with project leads, project managers and engineering teams to develop quality assurance methodologies and conduct quality assurance tests on baseline and new data types
- Assist with the development of operational reports and dashboards
- Identify areas where data quality improvements are needed

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
DATA MINING AND ANALYSIS (INTERMEDIATE)
- Has demonstrated an understanding of analysis methods, design concepts, data organization, business models, capabilities and limitations. Successfully applies statistical/data analytics concepts in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
DATA MODELING (INTERMEDIATE)
- Skillfully demonstrates data modeling in applications of moderate difficulty. Integrates data modeling into an overall systems development methodology [SDM]. Uses prominent structured and object-oriented modeling methods of logical business data modeling. Knows the fundamental principles of conceptual data modeling using the leading Entity/Relationship Diagramming [ERD] methods.
METADATA ANALYSIS (INTERMEDIATE)
- Skillfully demonstrates metadata analysis in applications of moderate difficulty. Navigates within established technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis. Modifies and runs queries and standard reports from data tools and provide to users. Identifies data values and data sources.
COMMUNICATION (INTERMEDIATE)
- Communicates with internal and external customers without requiring support and instruction from others. Meets with business customers to elicit data requirements and identifies the relationships between data items. Effectively communicates ideas and information to others, including non-technical audiences in writing, with numbers, verbally and/or visually. Shares knowledge, ideas and information openly, and effectively sells new ideas and influences others.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, math, statistics or related field (or equivalent experience) (required)
- 2 years relevant experience (required)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Science degree in computer science, math, statistics or related field
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data types
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Python, R, SQL
- Experience preparing analytics reports and dashboards
- Experience creating and working with visualization software (Python and R packages, etc.)
- Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:
This is a term position. A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year.
