About the Role:
Job Summary
The Reward & Recognition Specialist plays a key role in designing, implementing, and managing employee reward and recognition programs that align with the healthcare system's strategic goals. This role supports employee engagement, retention, and performance by ensuring that recognition initiatives are meaningful, equitable, and data-informed.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR or Public Relations, with a focus on rewards and recognition, communication or employee engagement.
Other:
Preferred Job Qualifications
Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Rewards and Recognition or HR certification (e.g., CRP, SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
Preferred Educational Requirements:
Preferred Experience: Experience in healthcare or large, complex organizations preferred. Familiarity with healthcare job frameworks and recognition software preferred.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Reward Program Development & Management
1A Design and administer employee reward programs including service awards, spot recognition, and performance-based incentives.
Recognition Strategy & Execution
2A Develop and maintain recognition platforms and tools (e.g., digital recognition systems, peer-to-peer programs, Sharepoint sites).
2B Partner with internal communications to promote recognition initiatives across the organization.
2C Coordinate annual recognition events (e.g., milestone celebrations, Veterans Day celebrations, National Hospital Week celebrations).
Compliance & Policy
3A Ensure all reward and recognition practices comply with labor laws and internal policies.
Data Analysis & Reporting
4A Analyze employee feedback, engagement surveys, and program participation data to improve recognition strategies.
4B Prepare reports for leadership on program impact and ROI.
4C Work with data files to determine direction on all programs.
Stakeholder Collaboration
5A Work closely with Public Relations, Administration, IT, HR Business Partners, and Leaders across the system.
5B Serve as a liaison to external vendors for recognition platforms and services.
