Exciting Opportunity at MSK: At Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), the Associate, Payroll Associate - Time and Attendance plays a vital role in supporting employees across the organization by ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and responsiveness. This role combines customer service, problem-solving, and technical expertise in Workday and payroll operations to help MSK achieve its mission of ending cancer for life.

Role Overview

• Oversee all payroll correspondence (phone, email, mail) with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Provide responsive, high-quality support to MSK employees and external business partners.
• Act as liaison with Chase Bank to resolve ACH and check issues.
• Generate and review daily and biweekly Workday audit reports to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Process Verification of Employment requests and no-fault claims.
• Manage off-cycle payments, including ACH returns, lost checks, and HR/Legal requests.
• Assist in special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and department initiatives.
• Support internal and external audit preparation, including documentation for legal, IRS, and state agencies.
• Create and maintain departmental spreadsheets and metrics to track payroll process outcomes.

Key Qualifications

• Familiarity with payroll systems, preferably Workday.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with Payroll within a large healthcare setting is a big plus

Core Skills

• Customer-focused communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data tracking.
• Ability to categorize and resolve payroll inquiries efficiently.
• Collaborative mindset, able to serve as backup for Payroll Analysts when needed.
