About the Team:
Department provides a range of services for clients including the animals necropsy, macro observation, sample collection and histology processing, data review, etc.
Internship Assignment Summary:
? Performs basic duties of necropsy and/or basic duties of histology
? May help to prepare stock solutions and set-up study supplies
? Trim and bag wet tissues
? Embed tissues into paraffin
? Recognizes deviations from expected results and takes appropriate action.
? Learns to adapt techniques to new procedures or particular needs as directed.
? Demonstrates teamwork skills and contributes towards a cohesive team environment
? Demonstrates data documentation and QC (Quality Control) skills
? Demonstrates problem solving skills
? Maintains a clean and safe work environment
? Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
? Diploma Degree in Life Sciences, or Associate Degree in Histology, Laboratory Animal Technology or Veterinary Technology
? Experience may be substituted for education.
? Ability to perform basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
? Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
? With good job responsibility, carefulness, patience and earnestness.
