DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY:St. Charles Center for Womens Health operates under a prenatal home model, encompassing the skills of Physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNPs), LCSWs, Psychologists, Substance Use Counselors, amongst others. Obstetrical care is provided in a team-based approach with patients seeing all providers within the clinic.
POSITION OVERVIEW:TheWomens Health PsychiatricMentalHealthNursePractitioner(PMHNP)worksalongsidethe full spectrum of providers in the Center for Womens Health office. Such care includes evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, documentation, and coordination of medical, surgical, ancillary, nursing, and other services to achieve the best and most cost-effective outcomes for patients.
Work schedule:ThePsychiatricMentalHealthNursePractitioner (PMHNP) will work primarily out of the Redmond clinic. Clinic schedule will consist of a minimum of 9 patient facing hours per scheduled clinic day.
Call Schedule:PMHNP will not participate in call rotation.
Practice Location:PMHNP will render Professional Services at The Center for Womens Health Redmond location and may see patients from time to time at the Bend location or Bend hospital in the family birthing center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
ClinicalResponsibilities:
Diagnose and treat disorders across the spectrum of presenting psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting.
Manage acute and chronic psychiatricconditions.
Participate in patient education and promote patientwellness.
Analyze clinical and non-clinical data as it relates to patient outcomes or clinical functioning.
Utilize and coordinate both on-site and referral based ancillary services whenappropriate.
Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
Order, prescribe, and/or recommend drugs and biologicals or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, sleep study, or related therapeutic procedures.
Document patient care in the proper form and in a timely manner in accordance with St Charles policy as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Promote good health and prevent illness.
Cooperate with other SCHS physicians and caregivers to insure optimal patientcare.
Be available to furnish patient care services at all times the clinic isoperating.

Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted to maintain privileges at a St. Charles Health System hospital sufficient to permit performance of jobduties.
Increase understanding and collaboration throughout the medicalcommunity.
EDUCATION
Required:
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner course of study and certification as appropriate to the incumbents license.
Complete annual fire/safety, etc. education in-services asrequired.
Attend mandatory educational offerings as described in SCHS policies/procedures and/or as required by other regulatory bodies.
Complete annual CME as required to maintain license and appropriate Boardcertification.
Complete in a timely manner assigned Computer Based Learningmodules.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Required:
License Psychiatric Mental Health NursePractitioner.
Nurse Practitioner requires AANC, NCC or AANP, AMCB certification. Unrestricted Federal DEA number
Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare / Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental health care programs.
Valid drivers license and the ability to meet SCHS drivingrequirements.
Current BLS certificationrequired.
If provider will practice sedation, moderate or deep, ACLS certification is alsorequired.
Additional certifications may be required based on privileges granted to provider by Medical Staff Services at SCHS Inpatient locations.
Preferred:
Oregon MSN licensure preferred.
Federal DEA number registered in Oregon.
Oregon Certified Nurse Midwife license
EXPERIENCE
Required:
0-2 years experience as an Advanced PracticeProvider.
Experience using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)software
Advanced written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse population and professionally represent St. Charles Health System
Experience working in a team environment and proven ability to collaborate, manage facilitation and consensus building among health care professionals and agencies to achieve expected results
Preferred:
2+ years experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
Epic EMR software experience.
5+ years working experience in Womens Health
