Summary:
The Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional assessments, counseling, and intervention plans tailored to meet patients' individual needs. Collaborates with healthcare teams to support patient outcomes through effective nutritional management, education, and ongoing professional development activities.
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct nutritional risk screenings, document findings, and ensure appropriate follow-up care within patient medical records.
2. Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and consultations to address patient-specific nutritional concerns.
3. Develop and deliver personalized nutrition counseling sessions, effectively addressing educational abilities, cultural sensitivities, and socioeconomic factors.
4. Recommend and manage specialized nutritional support protocols to improve patient health outcomes.
5. Provide nutrition-focused educational sessions for medical students, residents, nurses, dietetic interns, and other healthcare professionals.
6. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary to provide nutritional care tailored to the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of diverse patient populations.
7. Participate actively in professional development activities, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects as appropriate.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise
1. Required: Experience in Nutrition and Dietetics.
2. Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
3. Preferred: Pediatric healthcare experience.
4. Preferred: Experience collaborating effectively across various organizational levels.
Education and Experience
1. Required: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Master's degree preferred.
2. Certification and Licensure: Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) and hold a current Ohio dietitian license, or must pass the RD examination, obtain RD registration, and submit Ohio licensure application within 90 days of hire.
3. Preferred: Minimum of one year of relevant professional dietetics experience.
