Worth, Texas, CareerPhysician, the national leader in child health faculty and leadership recruitment, is pleased to announce a national search for a Director of Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to join the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health and lead the well-resourced and rapidly growing Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health was created to provide a single point of care for children with disorders of the nervous system. The Institute’s Vision is to uphold the Promise of Cook Children's by providing easily accessible, well-coordinated and comprehensive evaluation and treatment - guided by innovation, research, and a relentless dedication to improving patient outcomes and quality of life. The Institute opened in October 2023 with >100,000 sq feet of clinical space and will house the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Developmental Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics, Developmental Psychology, Pain Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
CCHCS is a not-for-profit, nationally recognized pediatric health care organization comprised of two Medical Centers, Physician Network, Home Health company, Pediatric Surgery Center, Health Plan and Health Foundation. The Cook Children’s Medical Center located in Ft. Worth is a freestanding 462-bed quaternary care pediatric hospital that is consistently ranked by US News and World Report. The integrated system has more than 60 primary and specialty care offices throughout North and West Texas, serving a 23-county referral network. The Cook Children's Physician Network is the largest pediatric multi-specialty physician group in its service area with over 1,000 employed specialty and primary care providersas well as mid-level providers.

Seeking a transformational leader with interest in joining and building upon a thriving Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation practice that is supported through collaboration with 21 Child Neurologists, 4 Neurosurgeons, 4 Neuropsychologists, Psychiatrists, Pain Medicine specialists, Physiatrist, and Psychologists.
Opportunities to develop subspecialty clinical interests in key areas such as cardiology, spina bifida, brain injuries, oncology, complex spine, and recently opened complex care clinic.
Enjoy strong interdisciplinary collaboration and support from related specialties within the Institute combined with innovative clinic space that will facilitate the group’s collaborative care as part of the Justin Institute at Cook Children’s.
26-bed state-of-the-art Neuro-Rehabilitation unit located next to outpatient clinic, fully integrated motion analysis laboratory, comprehensive orthotics/prosthetics program with 3-D printing and an evolving robotics program.
Clinical research and teaching, while not required, are encouraged in your areas of interest. The Neuroscience Research Center at Cook Children’s, supported through a $15 million endowment, provides ample research support from dedicated neuroscientists and support staff.
