Summary:
The Paramedic provides assistance to medical staff provider and staff in coordination patient care. The Paramedic functions as primary liaison between patient, staff and provider within paramedic scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates commitment to patient care by following processes as defined by Yuma Regional Medical Center policies & procedures while promoting the mission of the medical clinic.

Demonstrates ability to perform in emergency situations as evidenced by observation. Documents as required in a concise, accurate and legible manner according to standards designated for pertinent circumstances as evidenced by audit.

Documents care delivered and patient responses is recorded using approved medical terminology and abbreviations.

Participates in the hiring, scheduling, training and collaboration of the clinical support team with other areas of the department and hospital. Demonstrates and expects open communications.

Promotes an environment that is open and collaborative while keeping the team focused on a common goal. Fosters an open working environment for easy access to express ideas and concerns. Builds rapport, encourages teamwork, creates an environment where employees may feel empowered. Arranges exam/treatment rooms in preparation for clinics/procedure and maintain medical inventory in exam rooms.

Credentials:

• HS DIPLOMA/GED
• REQUIRED: 3+ years related experience
• BLS
• Paramedic Credential
