Job Title: Physician Assistant - Pediatric Orthopedics (OR Support) Location: Temple, TX Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple & McLane Children?s Medical Center Schedule: Full-Time | Clinic-Based with Occasional First Assist
Position Overview: Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Pediatric Orthopedic team in Temple, Texas. This APP will play a key role in supporting a new pediatric orthopedic surgeon starting in September 2025, helping provide high-quality orthopedic care to children in a collaborative, multispecialty environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat an average of 18 pediatric patients per day in the clinic
Provide first assist support in the operating room as needed (minimal)
Collaborate with an experienced team that includes 2 pediatric surgeons, non-operative sports medicine providers, and a clinic nurse specialist
Participate in care planning and follow-up for surgical and non-surgical patients
Use clinical judgment and teamwork to deliver compassionate, child-friendly care
Qualifications:
Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain)
New graduates welcome to apply; pediatric or orthopedic experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Passion for working with children and a commitment to family-centered care
Demonstrated ability to adapt, think critically, and work as part of a team
