Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Meridian Crossing - Dermatology Department

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for facilitating patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:

• Gathering financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records for optimal reimbursement and clinical outcomes

• Scheduling appointments and interviewing patients to collect appropriate medical information

• Explaining departmental and hospital charges and policies

• Validating and entering charges into appropriate systems

• Collecting necessary payments

• Answering incoming calls and directing patients and visitors appropriately

Qualifications:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED

• Preferred:

  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting

  • Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)

  • Ability to interpret insurance information

  • Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
