Responsible for the receptionist and clerical function on the Patient Care unit and documentation of cardiac rhythms at a central monitoring station under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Continuous Monitoring: Observe and interpret cardiac rhythms and other vistal signs on telemetry monitors. Identify any deviations from the norm and respond promptly. Posts monitor strips and 24 hour trends as directed daily. Accurate rhythm interpretation. 
• Alarm Response: Immediately notify nursing staff or appropriate personnel of any critical changes in patient status
• Documentation: Accurately document cardiac rhythms, events, and any interventions in the patient's medical record as per hospital policy
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that telemetry equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department
• Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other technicians.
• Confidentiality: Protect patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA and other confidentiality policies
• Professional Accountability: Independently seeks out other job-related experiences to enhance knowledge base. Timely completion of assigned education and annual competencies. Actively engaged in unit-based councils and performance improvement. Recognizes unit needs and works to facilitate solutions. 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
