The role you'll contribute:
The cook, under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services (FANS) management team, is responsible for preparing and handling food according to established recipes, sanitation standards, and HACCP guidelines. This role supports patient meal service, retail operations, and catering by ensuring food quality, safety, and presentation. Key duties include cooking to order, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and compliant food service delivery.

- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals by following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to ensure quality and temperature standards.
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures according to regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals, communicate needs, and support efficient food service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Grad or equivalent
- 2 years food handling experience
- Food Handler Certificate (FHC)
