The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing strategic workforce planning and development projects from beginning to end. The project scope can vary from short-term initiatives to multifaceted, long-term workforce transformation programs. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities include designing and implementing operational plans, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and coordinating resources across departments. The Senior Project Manager will also lead governance reviews, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and support change management efforts related to workforce structure and talent mobility.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a project manager on major complex strategic workforce planning and development initiatives.
Oversee assigned projects including monitoring performance and compliance with specifications, regulations, and laws.
Prepare initial and final documentation necessary for delivery to stakeholders; ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Develop organizational tools such as project plans, timelines, meeting agendas, and presentations to communicate goals and engage stakeholders.
Establish schedules and methods for achieving project goals and review work products with leadership.
Facilitate communication across functional teams including HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Analytics, and IT.
Activate systems for managing deviations from project plans to support decision-making and communication.
Conduct gap analyses and scenario planning to identify workforce capability needs and inform action plans.
Lead governance committee reviews for job and position description updates, ensuring compliance and alignment.
Support change management efforts related to workforce structure, job architecture, and talent mobility.
Communicate project status and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders through regular updates.
Requirements:
Education/Skills
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master?s preferred.
Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
Advanced Excel and ad hoc reporting skills
Experience
7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in workforce planning, talent acquisition, HR strategy, or other healthcare related functions.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Six Sigma, PMP or equivalent certification preferred
