Responsible for supervising and performing various diagnostic imaging examinations of patients as ordered by physicians for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures and services, and monitors diagnostic imaging student/intern programs to ensure that program agreements and training requirements are met.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Implements efficient operational workflows to include standardized patient care and promotes timely customer/physician access to the medical images.
2. Promotes Imaging Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
3. Partners with internal and external stakeholders on manufacturing and maintenance of various imaging equipment as and when required.
4. Evaluates and maintains the quality of medical images.
5. Identifies opportunities and recommends improved medical imaging protocols to meet overall business objectives.
6. Ensures integrity of patient medical images and related medical data in order to adhere with patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
7. Leads the activities of assigned Imaging Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Associate degree in Radiology.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (M) required.
Preferred:
1. Bachelors degree preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience in Medical Imaging or relevant area.
