JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to work as part of a team in service of the mission and vision of the Department of Emergency Medicine.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor budget expenditures and prepare written reports and analyses to unit management setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Prepare and coordinate distribution of various financial reports and analyses for senior management and external agencies to include financial analysis of individual unit operations.
Maintain liaison with business unit financial managers and administrative staff in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, to provide information and to resolve problems concerning variances from approved budget
Approve and manage department invoicing process
Perform month-end reconciliation and complete month-end journal entries
Review cost centers monthly for variances and report these variances to management
Extract data from multiple sources and compile data for both internal and external reporting, including clinician performance dashboards
Manage the faculty processes around effort, compensation, and clinical commitments
Demonstrate and maintain a high level of organization, professionalism and teamwork.
Provide back-up support and coverage to the department administrative team.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
Work requires four years experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
