Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (Including annual leave, sick leave, Federal holidays, and possible paid absence for CME).
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
Insurance: Comprehensive coverage (health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care) with many programs carryable into retirement.
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification).

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
Join Our Diagnostic Imaging Service:
Our team includes radiologists (full-time, fee basis, and contract), diagnostic radiologic technologists, Cardiac technologist, Radiology Nursing staff, and administrative/clerical support personnel. The service is directed by the Chief of the Service, an experienced radiologist and physician member of our staff.
Major Responsibilities Include:
Clinical Practice: Engage in general diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopy.
Quality Assurance: Contribute to performance improvement and oversee technical quality.
Staff Education: Mentor and educate staff and trainees.
Patient Care: Interact with patients, obtain clinical history, provide education, and participate in patient care coordination.
Image Interpretation & Consultation: Provide timely and accurate image interpretation and consult with providers.
Oversight of Quality and Safety:
Review exam requests and prescribe/adjust exam protocols.
Oversee technical image quality and provide feedback to technologists.
Administer medication, including contrast agents, and ensure radiation and MRI safety.
Participate in quality assurance activities, such as peer review and performance improvement.
