Job Description: Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician Lead on the Cardiac Observation Unit to join the team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 7pm - 7.30am.

The Clinical Technician Lead is responsible for providing exceptional patient care while also taking on additional responsibilities to mentor and be a preceptor for fellow Clinical Technicians. Ensures the efficient use of resources and managing technology needs. Collaborates closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care and maintains optimal clinical operations.
Clinical Technician Lead Job Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and healthcare providers. Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, and dressing patients. Monitors and records vital signs, input/output, and other relevant patient data. Ensures a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
Mentoring and Training: Mentors and guides new and junior CTs, providing on-the-job training and support. Conducts regular training sessions to update CTs on best practices, new techniques, and policy changes. Acts as a resource for CTs, addressing questions and concerns related to patient care.
Supply Sustainability and Management: Monitors inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock is maintained. Implements and promotes sustainable practices in the use of medical supplies to minimize waste. Coordinates with the supply chain and procurement departments to order and restock supplies as needed. Conducts regular audits of supply usage and develops strategies for efficient resource management.
Technology: Supports equipment- label printers, plugging in Wow's, coordinating IT /Bio med rounding etc.
Communication and Collaboration: Communicates effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and progress. Reports any changes in patient condition or concerns to the appropriate medical staff promptly.
Minimum qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years of experience as a clinical technician or similar role in an acute care setting
Certification: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
