General Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity in Goldsboro, NC with UNC Health
UNC Orthopedics at Goldsboro, part of the renowned UNC Health system, is seeking a fellowship-trained General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing, well-supported outpatient practice. We are especially interested in candidates with robotics experience, total joint expertise, and flexibility to manage both scheduled and emergent surgical cases.
This is an excellent opportunity to practice broad-scope orthopedics while building a subspecialty niche - all within a physician-led, team-based environment dedicated to excellent patient care.
Position Highlights
General Orthopedic Surgery with support for subspecialty interests (e.g., Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Trauma)
Surgical volume includes total joints, and cases requiring robotic assistance
Shared call rotation required to support the practice and community needs
Must be flexible to accommodate urgent/emergent cases and surgical add-ons
Practice supported by experienced APPs, x-ray techs, and clinical/admin staff
Outpatient-based, with access to state-of-the-art OR facilities
EPIC EMR across the system

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, or similar
Experience with robot-assisted procedures and total joint replacements
Comfortable with call coverage and urgent/emergent orthopedic care
