Mid = $78,267.35
Max = $93,920.82

Summary:
The Provider Coding Liaison provides overall compliance auditing and monitoring functions of physician billing, coding, and documentation serves as a liaison for regulatory and billing purposes with the YRMC Medical Staff, the Professional Corporation staff, Registration, Billing and Health Information Staff; abstracts and assigns ICD diagnosis/procedure codes to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency visit records as supported by provider documentation in the patient record and in compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Coding guidelines, Arizona state law and other regulatory agencies; ensures accurate calculation of DRG and APCs to ensure appropriate reimbursement to the organization and provide for an accurate and complete statistical data base; performs provider coding audits and communicate results.

Responsibilities:
Applies ICD-10-CM, and CPT codes to patient accounts.

Performs E/M audits on provider code assignment.

Answers emails from PFS or other hospital departments.

Provides audit finding results to provider/coders/PFS staff.

Keeps credentials current by completing the required CEUs

Other duties as assigned.


Credentials:

Essential:

• CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL CODER (CPC)
• High School Diploma/GED

Other information:
REQUIRED: 5+ years related experience
