As the Millennial generation continues to flood the workforce, it is looking for job opportunities that offer different qualities than those sought by earlier generations. According to the 2017 Best Jobs for Millennials, produced by U.S. News & World Report, individuals ages 20-34 rank salary as the most important, followed by work-life balance and stress level as they make their job choice.

Health care jobs can offer great options for all these benefits. In fact, two make it on the top 10 list: Dental Hygienist at number 2 and Radiation Therapist at number 7.

As a field, health care abounds with the benefits sought after by Millennials. Attractive pay packages are a given, but so is flexibility for work-life balance, the opportunity to rise within the organization, the sense of purpose and the steady employment opportunities offered by a career in healthcare.

Millennials also are known to seek out the use of technology, and a state of constant change in their work. Both can be found in healthcare jobs, as the field turns to new and innovative ways to adapt to ever-evolving treatments, technologies, payment models and care delivery approaches.

If you’re part of the dynamic generation born between 1982 and 2000, a career in healthcare could be just what you need for the fulfillment and flexibility you seek. Check out our current postings to see the opportunities that await!
